Beautiful Wedding at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort
As the season’s cycle ends, we briefly pause to reflect on the previous year. We have come to the conclusion that it was definitely one of the best. From one stunning location to the next, and with the wonderful couples that we’ve gotten the chance to work with, there have been great strides in what we’ve accomplished working in the intimate field of wedding photography in CT. Our art continues to grow; and every wedding is better than the last one.
The old world feel of the smaller East Coast communities lends itself to creating gorgeous photos. With our work from previous years in these fascinating locations, we’ve been able to develop a focus of prime locations within each of these venues. We are convinced that wedding photographers in CT give the best results because the artist knows and understands the nuances of locations such as these. In reviewing our work from this previous year, we are proud to say that we have this one aspect dialed in.
From the tip of Maine to the more southerly states of New York and New Jersey, we’ve traveled quite a bit this last year to give each of our wonderful couples the attention they deserve in the location they desire. We’ve walked sandy beaches, explored majestic historical sites and country clubs, and viewed breathtaking scenery. Not too bad for a small wedding photographer in CT. And with the memories of this previous year’s amazing opportunities still in our mind’s eye, we can’t tell you how much we are looking forward to next year. Between the new folks we’re going to work with and the grand locations we’ll visit, we’re excited to see what this New Year brings us.
Connecticut Wedding Photography: Best Job in the World
Imagine getting to spend your day visiting some of the most elegant and beautiful locations that the upper East Coast has to offer. Not only that, you also get the good fortune to be among wonderful celebrations where the focus is love and commitment. And finally, you get to be the one that documents it all. There are many reason as to why we chose a career involved in Connecticut wedding photography, but if the truth were to be told, it is combination of the above elements. The sights, the emotion, and the art; that is a winning combo in anyone’s book. Allow me to offer an example.
Our most recent excursion brought us to the delightful and gorgeous Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, in Westbrook CT., to document the wedding of Jessica and Tom. Already, I knew this was going to be a wonderful shoot due to my love of this location and the people involved. The wonderful place lends a lot to the art in Connecticut wedding photography. While it’s true that the day started out quite windy, it wound down and presented us with one of those majestic East Coast sunsets. Needless to say, we took advantage of what nature had provided us with.
From the wonderful couple to the fun bridal party in tow, they were the very essence of lively and enjoyable subjects to work with. While a client expects good things out of Connecticut wedding photography, which of course we do our best to cater to, it helps when our clients are having a good time. This day was no exception, with a fun and happy couple, surrounded by loved ones and friends. All in all, it was a very good day.
I love what I do for a living. You see, I am in the business of watching people come together and documenting it for future days. I take a record of the most wondrous of events, the uniting of two individuals for love’s sake. I am a CT wedding photographer and I am proud of the service I provide.
Take for example the recent wedding of Stephanie and Gregory. The setting was a private residence in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, which is one my favorite places to visit outside of Connecticut, my own home state. This beach wedding was simply stunning, with the “I do’s” being mingled with the sound of crashing waves, and slight ocean breezes keeping the witnesses nice and cool. Many smiles and laughs, along with a few tears as well, were recorded through my camera lens. With the beach and ocean as a wondrous backdrop, this CT wedding photographer was able to catch some wonderful moments in time. The happy couple even wished to end their day with a playful jump into the ocean fully clothed, which brought about an impromptu photo session with a mock “trash the dress”.
All in all, it was a beautiful day and I felt privileged to be a part of it. As Stephanie and Gregory grow old together, they will have the photos I captured of their wedding day to bring back memories. Traveling from Connecticut to Cape Cod is a very small price to pay to provide that essential service. And it is my honor to do so.
There are many opportunities that arise by being a professional photographer. One of them is visiting different locales and witnessing new sights. Granted, Rhode Island isn’t that much of a distance from my home, however, it nonetheless gave me the chance to get away for a day or two and journey through another amazingly beautiful state. While it may not be the familiar sights of Connecticut, working vacations are a delight and I will take them whenever I can.
My journey brought me to the gorgeous Quidnesset Country Club, for the wedding of Debora and Gregory, a delightful couple who are deeply in love and were more than ready to accept the roles of husband and wife. Being a CT wedding photographer, I get the sublime chance to watch many worthy couples walk down the aisle. These two were no different and I worked incredibly hard to treat their portraits, and the portraits of their family, with the utmost of respect, worthy of the sacred ceremony that occurred that day.
While I am used to working with natural beauty of Connecticut, there were nonetheless many beautiful shots to be found in the country club. Since it had rained earlier in the day, a special glow covered the grounds outside. However, most of the ceremony and following celebrations had to take place indoors. Being an experienced CT wedding photographer, I was still able to create and compose some amazing photographic moments of this most blessed of days. This is the professionalism I bring to every job and yet, this work is a joy to me. While it may have been job, it still felt like a vacation.
The day had finally come for Ryan and Danielle to tie the knot. Both inside and out, this couple matched each other with their beauty and kindness. They defined the words “perfect couple” and chose a location that reflects it, the Riverview in Monroe, Connecticut. Filled with well-manicured greenery, and the occasional bright flash of color from flowers, there couldn’t be a better backdrop to unite these two as husband and wife. Nature herself seemed to understand what a sacred and special day this needed to be and provided them with beautiful weather for their wedding. I was fortunate enough to be the CT wedding photographer who had the chance to capture it all on film.
There were so many brilliant moments that presented themselves for my camera lens. While capturing poignant photos of family and friends, dancing, cake cutting, and the like, the real focus was the ceremony itself; this one was proved to be stellar. The Connecticut sunlight created a marvelous backdrop as she walked down the aisle. She was absolutely stunning in her long dress and veil, the very essence of beauty. With Ryan at her side at the altar, the ceremony was both touching and moving.
Some folks may wonder as to why being a CT wedding photographer has become my chosen profession. The truth is because I get to witness days such as that one. I get to capture on film the uniting of two souls that have found each other in this big, old world of ours. To be honest, I couldn’t be any happier.
Most photographers that I know want to make a decent living creating art. And living in Connecticut, there are plenty of places where the scenery can lend itself to this pursuit. Most photographers eventually settle into a practical career shooting weddings and special events. While it may be a means to an end for some, I see it from a different point of view. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a CT wedding photographer because I am gifted with the chance to share in the experience.
Wedding photography is the pinnacle of my expression as an artist. Just a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be hired to photograph a traditional Greek wedding. The setting was the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park. It was filled with absolutely incredible views throughout the property. The Connecticut countryside truly brings forth inspiration. Against this breathtaking backdrop were the two wonderful young adults in love. I had the pleasure to capture their special moment–a new future ahead of them as they walk down the aisle.
Ukrainian and Eastern European weddings bring forth the best in my craft. The sense of family, the pure spectacle, the reverence of the ceremony, and the pure elation in the reception was captured on my camera. I seek to bring the emotional treasure out of all of these moments. While it may sound like quite a bit to come from a simple CT wedding photographer, words can never express the passion I feel for my profession. I’m not just taking a few shots, I’m creating art that my clients will treasure forever.
Picture the perfect Connecticut summer day; warm but not too warm, green rolling hills heading off into the distance. Simply the perfect time and place for a wedding. The setting was the Farmington Country Club. As Michael began to speak his vows to his gorgeous bride Robin, a quick moment of gratitude crossed my mind. Being in the Connecticut wedding photography business, I have the great fortune to capture all of this through the frame of my lens. And I couldn’t be more honored to be a contributor to special days such as these.
Both my wife and I teamed together for this particular wedding. It was necessary to not just have one CT wedding photographer, but two instead so that we possessed the ability to capture all of the day’s endearing moments. She focused her efforts on the bridal party as they began their walk down the aisle. This allowed me to be attentive to family member’s reactions and capture all of the smiles, along with a few happy tears. Both sides were covered and we got some incredible shots. On this beautiful Connecticut day, we saw it as our responsibility to give the family a myriad of moments in time to hold and treasure.
With that in mind, we do our best to approach all weddings with the same care and sense of responsibility. To photograph these wondrous events go far beyond a simple paycheck. Ultimately it is an honor and a duty, one that we take pride in having the ability to do.
